I set out to give myself a challenge of taking a single item, in this case a “swoosh” shape, and seeing where it could go in terms of typography. I molded that single shape into 26 different letters and 4 numbers by rotating, resizing, flipping, and bending it until that symbol worked effectively. To further add some visual interaction, I used the symbol itself to cut various curvilinear shapes into the figure. From there, I edited colors, opacity, hue, and saturation to further create unique symbols. Enjoy!
